The Hotel Rural Camping is located 15 minutes from the sea and the beautiful beaches of the Alentejo coast. It is just 10 kilometres from the beaches of Zambujeira do Mar and Carvalhal. All are equipped with air conditioning and a private garden/outdoor terrace. There is a shaded car park for 20 cars and a private garage for 4 cars. The communal areas are very spacious, with a living room with double-height ceilings and modern lines, with an avant-garde fireplace of sophisticated design that invites you to relax and enjoy. A multi-purpose room, currently used as a games room, and a covered outdoor area used as a bar and chill-out area invite you to socialise, and this development is often used for company events, including weddings.
We should also mention a modern restaurant, equipped with a professional kitchen, with indoor seating for 70 people and a terrace for 50. In fact, its removable glass curtains from top to bottom allow the area to be more flexible, extending from the interior to the terrace, creating a unique space. Outside, a huge lawn, two saltwater swimming pools, an organic vegetable garden and various leisure areas invite you to relax. Nothing has been left to chance and, at the top of a century-old cork oak tree, an attractive tree house has been created with a tubular slide that will delight children and adults alike. The entire outdoor space has been created in harmony with the region, using native plants, such as the majestic centenary olive trees on arrival.
The whole development has been designed to be sustainable and respectful of the environment. Several solar panels have been installed, both for water heating and for the production of photovoltaic energy for self-consumption, allowing for increased energy efficiency, in addition to the existing connection to the public medium-voltage electricity grid. It also has an annex prepared for reception and a complete independent laundry, as well as various storage spaces and a wine cellar. This architectural project has been honoured with several international distinctions and references in the specialist press. In fact, the old ruin on the site has been carefully restored, maintaining its original charm of a typical Alentejo house, in a perfect symbiosis with modern architecture and careful decoration, in order to offer the greatest comfort to its guests. In fact, the architectural details are present throughout, with interior gardens in some rooms and large light wells in the living room, providing an excellent atmosphere of direct contact with the countryside and with nature.
This tourist resort has gained national and international notoriety. It even won the Best Rural Tourism in the Alentejo Award in 2015, just a year after it opened. Since then it has been captivating a sophisticated but relaxed clientele, with the foreign market already accounting for more than 50 per cent of the total number of guests. Many of the families who visit this space return year after year. It's a unique space, surrounded by the nature of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina natural park, with pre-authorisation to extend to an area of 4,000m2 of construction, for greater tourist use, which will allow, as mentioned above, the implication of this investment, with a return in terms of net profitability in relation to the overall above 2 digits.
It's the perfect place to disconnect from daily stress and restore your energy, whether in one of the many hammocks in the shade of a cork oak tree or on one of the sun loungers in the garden around the two swimming pools.
