Tourist estate in Vila Viçosa

A beautiful estate with a tourist unit located in Vila Viçosa, in the Alto Alentejo.

Set against a backdrop of nature and Alentejo authenticity, it currently has fourteen accommodation units that can be transformed into eighteen, since the four family suites can be divided into eight double suites by simply closing the connecting doors that separate them.
Of these accommodations, three are independent houses with one or two bedrooms, living room, fireplace and kitchen, seven are family suites or studios with bedroom and living room with capacity for at least four people and four accommodations have capacity for two adults, two of which are tents - the glamping concept.

In addition to the tourist accommodation, the estate has a 420m2 house with four suites, a lounge, living room, dining room and kitchen, which is not normally rented out. With an independent entrance, it also has two rooms where the reception has been working.
There are two beautiful swimming pools, a technical area where there is a laundry room, pellet heating equipment (for the 3 studios and the main house, the games room and the changing rooms to support one of the pools, a games room of around 70m2 that becomes an open, multi-purpose space when we host yoga or meditation groups, a house with two bedrooms and a living room where the rural caretakers live (if that's the option) with two attached support warehouses and a restaurant exclusively for guests.

In agricultural terms, the estate has a small agricultural project underway, with around 1ha of orchard, 2ha of almond grove, 1ha of olive grove and 0.5ha of table grapes and around 0.5ha of vegetable garden having been planted in 2019.
It also has around 3 hectares of floodplain which are currently used for grazing animals: 2 mares and over 50 sheep. The farm also has domestic animals, chickens and ducks.
The underlying rationale was to integrate the rural component with the tourist component, so that guests could share and live a rural experience during their stay, including many of the products grown or produced on the estate in their meals.

The estate is located on an ancient route used by the Romans, part of the way to Évora. Even today, there are traces of a Roman bridge over a stream, which further enriches the history and culture of this authentic place.
