Herdade do Pereiro, integrates a large village completely uninhabited and a ancient thermae, being a property with truly unique and singular characteristics. With an area of ​​80 hectares, composed of rural and urban domain, it is located close to Castelo de Vide - Portalegre - Alentejo, in a quiet, isolated area, with flat geographic features and gentle undulation.

Strong potential for the installation of a Tourist Village, with unique characteristics throughout the country, adaptable for any thematic purpose, associated or not to the thermal aspect, since it holds the old 'Termas da Fadagosa', with all its adjacent urban constructions, which are find to be recovered. An eventual future tourism project, will be considered a Pin (Project of National Interest), because it has already been cataloged, given the importance of the project for regional and national economic development. This nomenclature facilitates the speed of the project, as well as the release of European Social Funds. There is a project for 60 suites, already approved by the competent authorities.

In a preliminary analysis, the possibility of a tourism project for 300 accommodation units has already been identified.

About 40% of the building has rehabilitated roofs, the rest are in need of restoration.

The Municipality of Marvão (where the estate is located) and the Natural Park of Serra de S. Mamede (in which the estate is integrated) have shown an interested and facilitating attitude towards the development of the estate.

The fact that the estate is integrated in the Natural Park, improves the percentage of aid for the future project.

The estate is located in the northern part of the Alentejo, with increasing tourist demand, for tourism of various categories: nature tourism, ecotourism, wine tourism, adventure tourism, rural tourism. There has also been a growing demand for housing purchase.

Every year, there are several events to highlight, such as the Classical Music Festival (duration for 3 weeks with high demand in hotels, with 100% occupancy), Film Festival, Islamic Festival and Feira da Castanha and Baja Portalegre.

The construction of the motorway connection between Madrid and Lisbon is planned, less than 10 km from the estate (Abrantes-Cáceres section) and about 2 hours from Lisbon. (Ref. 938).
