Central Portugal is famed for its river beaches which are beautiful. The nearest one is about 20 minutes away from the house. The coast is approximately 1.5hrs distance. Culturally and historically there is a plethora of varied opportunities to tour and discover. The pace of life is slow and the people are gracious and very friendly. We have enjoyed our time here tremendously and are very sad to leave.
