About de Project:
The Misericordia building was a palace built by the aristocratic family of Calça e Pina in the 15th century. The grand staircase on the ground floor leads to the principal rooms, which feature many murals by various influential artists represented by Vieira Lusitano, a painter well known for his portraits in the Portuguese Royal House.
The palace was developed over centuries by different families occupying the space, leaving a fusion of pronounced cultural heritage. The ground floor space with arched and painted ceilings was built in the Portuguese Gothic Style, known as Manuelino. Later, the second floor with more decorative features was added during the renaissance in the 17th century. The most recent wing of the building was connected to the main building with a glass-roofed atrium, replicating the Moorish courtyard, which is inherent in the culture of Evora.
The intervention in the building is mainly to preserve and rehabilitate the history left in the stones, the arches, and the paintings. Architect Nuno Valentim is leading the endeavor to fully examine the layers of the history in the building, in order to give the building a new life that reflects its rich history. A design concept of carefully inserting minimal and modern interiors in a heritage building is intrinsic to the project.
The floors in the common area will be vast patterned stone or recovered wood. Light streams in from all the windows through the original arches and stone framed doorways, illuminating the ornamented walls. Above, the vaulted ceilings are to retain all their original characters despite careful painting restoration. The courtyard will be brought to life with botanical landscaping and the construction of a pool that will run along its edge.
The boutique hotel will welcome guests with its sophisticated architecture, bespoke interiors, and attentive services. The facilities include a dinner restaurant, a breakfast restaurant, lounge, bar, an outdoor pool, and a hammam spa.
Palacete Da Misericordia
Neighboring the famous Igreja Misericordia, the exclusive courtyard quarter offers a quiet space for retreat. Misericordia is a 22-room boutique hotel built in a 14th-century palace with a lush botanic garden in the courtyard.
The city’s rich history, strategic location, and offering of regional gourmet make it a perfect destination for sophisticated tourism. The project concept is being developed by Architect Nuno Valentim together with the developer architects
As it is just an hour and a half’s drive from Lisbon, people often recommend Évora as a short trip away from Lisbon. But a single day in Évora is not enough. After visiting the city’s sites, restaurants and monuments or exploring the Alentejo, the best way to enjoy Évora is to then fall asleep at its centre, in one of the 22 rooms at the Misericórdia hotel.
The next morning, an organic breakfast supplied by local farms can be had indoors or on the terrace. As the Alentejo is known for its summer heat, a swim in the pool by the garden in the courtyard is in order. The hammam style spa, built into the oldest part of the grand house, is both for guests and locals 'in the know'. The restaurant, part of the city's gourmet reputation, is open to all for either lunch or dinner.

Investment of 280.000 euros for a 4% Share - with 3% yield (annual income guaranteed). Only 22 units are available.
The Golden Visa eligibility, the 3% guaranteed yield, alongside the unique location and capital appreciation potential of what will become an iconic luxury hotel in the region makes this project a very compelling and unique investment option.

About the location:
Évora is not only the capital of the Alentejo, it is also the living intersection of Portugal’s heritage and a testament to its riches. Unesco classifies Évora as a World Heritage site for the way history is writ large in its streets. In the historic center of the city is the ancient Roman Temple of Évora (also known as the Temple of Diana). Nearby, whitewashed houses surround the Sé Catedral de Évora. The Church of São Francisco has Gothic and Baroque architecture, along with the Capela dos Ossos, decorated with bones.
The Alentejo is a gastronomic destination for some and a natural retreat for others -- a get-away from the coastal bustle. The principal products of Portugal can all be found in the Alentejo: vineyards, potteries, olive groves, cork forests, and marble quarries contribute to the culture and character of the province’s varied villages and towns. It is where generations of students have come to achieve higher learning and where artisans and architects have come to source materials and learn techniques.
