The intervention in Casa do Verdoso involves restructuring in
three areas of the building, with the introduction of elements
typical architectural features, helping to take advantage of the useful area of the
construction, which allows a better reading of the calls
houses or functional divisions that make up the whole and
thus endowing the building with the necessary salubrity in terms of
lighting, natural ventilation and sanitary facilities.
- The first intervention is a correction of the windows of the
west facade, through formal standardization with the other
of the same use as those of the domestic L' body, providing them with
sill, jambs and lintel in volcanic stone as in the
existing on the south and east facade. This intervention helps
to clarify the domestic body and the area associated with the bedrooms.
- The second intervention involves the integration of all houses

semi-cylindrical and comes to provide the set with a Tea House, a
meeting place and socializing between guests and local population
in a covered space for promotion and contact with Culture and
Azorean gastronomy.
