2 stone built houses the larger on of 106 sq m has been fully renovated and the smaller house has had a concrete floor added to the top level, currently used for storage and workshop, it has electricity supplied from the main house.

Both houses are built into the side of the hill, so there is access from the outside to both levels.

Renovations to the larger house include a new roof, internal floors, partition walls, ceilings and the roof space has insulation and has been boarded out with access via a loft hatch with ladder. Heating is provided by a Morso squirrel wood burner and an Italian La Nordica wood burning cooker, which also provides hot water and central heating. Hot water is also provided through solar in the summer months or a gas boiler, for use in emergencies. Electricity is solar with a large fixed backup generator. Mains water is installed for the house and there is a water mine for crops and garden watering. There is a large septic tank with soak way for sewage and grey water. A small stream runs across the bottom of the property, but access is limited.

There is approx.. 3 ha of land with terraces. There are a number of olive and fruit trees (apples, cherries, peaches, orange and lemon). Approx. One third of the land is scrub, with pine, oak and chestnut, and some newly planted birch and beech trees. Access to the property has been improved recently. There is a small barn for storage, which also houses the backup generator, tractor, implements and wood for the fires. Attached to the house is a brick built single story workshop/storage building, with two rooms and a new roof.

The quinta is very private and close to two villages on the edge of the Serra da Estrela National Park, with beautiful views over open countryside. The larger town of Gouveia is less than 10 minutes drive away, with three supermarkets and all other services.
