It is a glamorous hostel, set in a historic building completely restored, that enchants and dazzles. It was once the Maternity Bissaya Barreto and later the Conservatory of Music of Coimbra.

It features unique hand-painted murals, a grand staircase turned in wood and rich marbled in scaly, as well as ceilings with panels of stucco relief panels, of Moorish influence.
