Fifteen years after the arrival of this group, the beach has become a holiday destination for some of Lisbon's elite. Extensive (about 4 km) and sometimes rough sea, the southern part of the great dune is legal for the practice of naturism. It was, in fact, this fact that made Praia do Meco famous.
